Freedom
Freedom Asian Chess Initiatives (FACI) is an international chess project of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation. It is supported by Freedom Holding Corp. and implemented together with FIDE and the Asian Chess Federation.

The Project supports the development of chess in Asia by working with national chess federations, improving chess education, supporting tournaments and encouraging international cooperation.

FACI helps selected federations through training camps, educational activities, expert support and joint chess initiatives.

About the project
We believe that chess contributes to the development of intellectual abilities and personal qualities, as well as to the strengthening of international ties and friendship.
In 2025, the FACI Project supported seven national chess federations: Oman, Cambodia, Nepal, Tajikistan, Sri Lanka, Jordan, and Pakistan

Call for Coaches

The Kazakhstan Chess Federation, with the support of Freedom Holding Corp. and in partnership with FIDE and the Asian Chess Federation (ACF), invites qualified chess coaches to collaborate within the Freedom Asian Chess Initiatives (FACI) Project.
We are looking for coaches with a minimum title of International Master (IM) to conduct training camps for national teams of Asian countries. Preference will be given to coaches with experience working with strong players, English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher, and strong motivation to contribute to chess development in the region.
The FACI Project was launched in 2024 and in 2024–2025 supported national chess federations of Cambodia, Nepal, Oman, Tajikistan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Jordan.
Interested coaches are kindly invited to complete the application form.

All applications will be reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted if suitable opportunities arise.

Application deadline: 12 January 2026.

In 2025, FACI delivered 20 training camps and workshops, provided 12 travel grants for young players to participate in the World Cadets Championship, and organized masterclasses, training sessions, and simultaneous exhibitions. The Project also supported international tournaments in Oman and Nepal and contributed to the opening of a chess academy in Pakistan.
